2nd Serving

Yeah, i'm back now in Kota Bharu. Its one of the best weekend I ever had for quite a long, long time. Its Christmas, and the weather had been nice. Kuala Lumpur is cool. You know, i've been living quite a large part of my life in the countryside thus earning the nickname 'the kampung boy' among my family members and most of the time i feel that way, as i've never been quite exposed to much of the urban/city lifesyle. But you know what, I'll always be a Kuala Lumpurian at heart.
KL is damn hectic. I couldn't walk a straight line. Christmas shopping at its peak. And I've felt more than once a terrible urge to whip the shopping complex's Santa Claus. Call me an ass I dont care, but I've always felt that beating Santa into pulp is kinda cool. Look at his face! He's actually asking for it. I went to KLCC on christmas eve. Accompanied Monie, she was looking for a pair of new shoes. Women and their shoes, maybe we'll discuss them later. Me? I bought Harry Porter's Order of the Phoenix and Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere. And if I had my way I would have spend a nother 100 bucks on books. But then, I always prefereed rice to maggi mee. Its just that you dont have these kind of books in Kelantan. Maybe opening a proper bookshop in Kelantan would be a good and lucrative idea. The thing with this place is, at times it is too innocent. One of the best way to 'experience' is to read. And somehow these people is ignorant to the fact that there's a deep potential in books. Duhhh. I wont talk about shit like books are the windows of knowledge, yadda yadda...besides my course books, I never think of my other books as knowledge tanks, just somewhere I can lose myself into. Imagination is a powerful tool. Be it inspiration or motivation, God doesn't give us the ability to dream for nothing.
Well, I'm back now in Kelantan. But i'm still high. For the record, I've never once hated this place. In fact I like it. Everything has shortcomings, nothing's perfect. You can talk about perfection when you're in heaven.
There was an earthquake just now in the afternoon. The hospital building shook. They had to evacuate the top 2 floors just in case it got worse. Wasn't really an earthquake, the point of impact was somewhere near Sumatra but somehow the vibrations travelled to our shores. Around 700 people were dead (I heard) in Sumatra. There were giant tsunamis and everything. Talk about disasters. The quake was about 7-8 richter's scale. I think in maybe a few decades, the quakes will arrive in our shores. God help us in that hour.
Classes are quite boring today. And I got online originally to find some materials for my homework. damn...it gets harder everyday. I should have done something else as a living. :p
